On February, 22 more than 700 final-year students of schools and colleges from Vinnytsia region and regional centers visited Vinnitsa National Agrarian University. They had a chance to check their knowledge in subject olympiads. Winners got additional grade points which they can use when they enter the university. On that day Vinnitsa National Agrarian University hospitably “opened doors” for the future students.

Before the official part had started senior pupils had the opportunity to communicate with the representatives of examining commission and faculties. Also they visited the exhibition of departments’ and institutes’ achievements.

Official part of the event was started by Grygorii Kaletnik, the President of the University. The President pointed: “Food safety of the country depends on specialists of agrarian sector”. Annually the agrarian sector of economy provides filling of the Ukrainian state budget with the amount of over forty milliards hryvnyas. Professional and highly qualified staff is needed in order to achieve such indexes. So, policy of our university aims to give high-quality education to students and to create conditions under which they will be successful both in studying, working and spending leisure time.

Nowadays Vinnytsia National Agrarian University is one of the most perspective in the country, that prepares highly skilled specialists for agrarian sector of economy. It consists of 6 scientific institutes, 6 faculties, 39 departments, 7 colleges, 7 lyceum classes, where over 12 thousand students are studying. The teaching staff consists of 5 Academicians, members of National Academy of Agrarian Sciences, 52 professors, doctors of sciences and 240 candidates of sciences, associate professors. The diploma of our university is acknowledged in 30 countries of the world. The university actively continues to work on the improvement of material and technical base and conditions of studying in it.

Students have the opportunity to realize their talent potential in 22 amateur theatrical collectives of the university. Quality leisure and rest are provided by a student’s trade union.
